     The Electronic Sound Files were gathered in 24bit 96kbps Digital audio .WAV files. They've been professionally cleaned; assembled into lifelike sequences; and converted to 44khz 128kbps 2 channel MP3 files, in order to play on any programmable electronic call or MP3 homebrew caller.

They are LOUD and CLEAR!

     The sound samples above are lower quality mono MP3 recordings... of me, listening to the sounds from 10 yards away at 60% volume, and describing them, while on stand in the Olympic Mountains. They're noisy and low end, with my voice over them, to discourage the criminals who would pirate them!

I've produced an audio CD with a 30 minute Cougar Calling tutorial .

 This CD tutorial is based on the Sub Adult Cougar Whistle, but includes a library of additional information on Calling the Big Cats!

My Second Edition Cougar Calling CD continues its  focus on the Sub Adult Whistle and how/when to use it... but it also include a TON of general Cougar calling information and so much more!

Hand Call:

     The power of the Cougar Vocal in a calling stand is well established. Your odds increase exponentially if you can incorporate vocals into your calling sequence.

     I tune a hand call in a basic plain body to emulate the Sub Adult Mountain Lion whistle call. This call works. I've had vocal response to prove it. (Story in the tutorial!)

     For guys who like to (or have to) hand call, incorporating a Cougar Vocal is still possible! See the SAMPLE sound file "ER09" for an example.
